Comprised of four structures and a meditation garden – the Millsap Bride’s Hall, Anthony Chapel, Evans
Grooms Quarters, Anthony Family Carillon and the Evans Celebration Garden – the Anthony Chapel Complex provides facilities for a variety of events, especially weddings.
The complex was constructed entirely with private funds. Major donors include: John Ed and Isabel Anthony; Bob and Sunny Evans; Martha Hixson and Family; Cecil and Gwen Cupp; Leon and Betty Millsap; Carol and the late Dick Pratt and Baldwin & Shell General Contractors.
Dedicated in September 2006 to much public fanfare and media coverage, the Anthony Chapel Complex has become one of Arkansas’s most requested wedding venues because of its architectural significance and proximity to the masterfully landscaped gardens.
Located outside the required ticketed area of Garvan Woodland Gardens, the complex is meant to serve the public without paying an admission fee to access the chapel. Other than the month of January, when the Gardens are closed to the public, the complex is usually a flurry of activity, especially during the weekends when wedding activities take center stage.
