Perry Wildflower Overlook
The Perry Wildflower Overlook provides a western destination in the main garden with sweeping views of Lake Hamilton, including Electric Island and Mt. Riante in the distance. The 1,500 square-foot flagstone terrace extends approximately 30 feet into a one-acre planting of more than 40 different varieties of wildflowers, with new ones added each spring. The site offers restrooms and a future serving kitchen to accommodate small-scale weddings and events. Funds for the project were donated by long-time volunteers and benefactors, Stuart and Diana Perry of Hot Springs. The overlook stands as a memorial to their late daughter, Shannon Perry Hope, and in honor of their son, Stephen Perry.
