Holiday Lights Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)


Where can I buy a ticket?
You may purchase tickets at in advance.

Should I purchase my ticket ahead of time?
Yes! There is a limited number of tickets available for each night of Holiday Lights. Purchasing tickets in advance at is highly recommended.

What happens if tickets are SOLD OUT for the night I want to come?
When a night has been sold out, there will be signs posted along the way with a turnaround area for non-ticket holders. Sold out nights will also be posted on Social Media (Facebook). Online ticket holders and members will not be affected by sold out nights. Once a night has sold out, you will not be able to buy tickets online for that night, and you will need to choose another night to come.

What about Golf Cart Tickets?
A limited number of golf cart tour tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis on-site. There are no reservations for cart rides. A special ticket booth will be open to purchase the tickets after you enter the Gardens. The cost is $15 per person. A golf cart will seat either 3 or 5 visitors and we have up to 10 carts in operation. Tours begin at 5 PM and take approximately 45 minutes. You may have to wait your turn but there is a heated indoor waiting area

Do you have group rates?
For groups of 20 or more, please call our Group Sales at 501-262-9603 for tickets. Specially priced $10 group tour tickets are available for groups of 20 or more adults if booked in advance with one payment transaction per group. Group tickets not available for Friday or Saturday nights of Holiday Lights and not available on day of visit. No student group tickets available during Holiday Lights.

Can I convert my tickets to Memberships?
Yes! You can convert your admission tickets to memberships if you do it on the night you visit. Or you can purchase a membership on-line instead of tickets!

Can I get a refund or exchange if I have unused tickets?
No. All ticket sales are final.

Members, Corporate Members, Pass Holders

What about Members or Corporate Sponsors of Garvan Gardens?
Members do not need a ticket in advance, but for admission into the Gardens, you must show your membership card and a photo ID. Member Children must show their membership cards, but photo ID is not required. Membership cards are non-transferable. Members, corporate sponsors with proof of current employment and photo ID, and valid passes do not need a timed ticket for entry. You will check in at the member table in the Entry Plaza.

Rain Policy

Are tickets reimbursed or exchanged if it rains?
No. However, the weather will be monitored to ensure guest safety. If the weather poses no threat to public safety, the Gardens will open rain or shine. If the Gardens close due to unsafe weather, such as lightning, high winds or icy conditions, then we will convert your ticket to one which can be used another night.


What hours are you open?
Garvan Gardens will be open from 4 PM to 9 PM nightly with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, when we are closed.

How much time can I spend visiting?
You can stay until closing time at 9 PM.

What is the best night to visit?
If it is possible to visit during the week, you should have less waiting to park or enter the Gardens.

How should I dress?
Comfortable shoes and clothing are a must. Dress for the seasonal weather and temperatures. We will be open rain or shine. No rainchecks or refunds due to weather.

Will Garvan Gardens be open during the day?
No. The Gardens open at 4 PM. No one, including members, will be admitted prior to 4 PM.

Is Garvan Merchandise Available?
Yes. Branded merchandise for Garvan Woodland Gardens will be available for purchase in the Garden Shop.


Is it accessible to all?
Yes. The trails are wheelchair and stroller-accessible. A few wheelchairs and strollers will be available for guests use at the entrance, and a shuttle will be offered to transport folks from the parking lots to the entrance. Please note the color and number of your Reindeer parking lot for the return trip.

Will there be Handicap Parking?
Several reserved handicap spaces are available in the main parking area and visitors should alert parking attendants of their parking needs.

Is there a lot of walking involved?
The trail is about one mile long. Some benches and seating are provided along the trails.


Can we eat there? Are outside snacks and drinks allowed at Garvan Gardens?
Yes, outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed. No coolers may be brought in. The Chipmunk Café is open nightly from 4 PM to 9 PM and serves delicious soups, sandwiches and wraps as well as hot drinks. Garvan Gardens provides free Hot Chocolate in the Cocoa Tent by the Train Garden.


Are pets allowed if they are on a leash?

What else do I need to know?
Please, no weapons of any kind.
No smoking, vaping and nicotine/tobacco allowed on the property.
Dogs are only allowed on December 2 for the Jingle Dog Pup Parade.
