Whether you have your heart set on an elegant wedding in our stunning chapel with a vaulted glass ceiling that reaches to the sky or an intimate romantic outdoor ceremony in our lush gardens – you will find the perfect setting at Garvan Woodland Gardens.
Garvan Gardens is the 210-acre botanical garden of the University of Arkansas, located on the shore of beautiful Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Only 45 minutes southwest of Little Rock, we’re also surrounded by the beautiful Ouachita Mountains.
With breathtaking bridges, waterfalls and cascades, stunning architectural features, and beautiful flowers and trees year round – Garvan Gardens is the perfect setting for starting a lifetime of memories.

With seating for 200, Anthony Chapel boasts amazing acoustics that musicians love. A gorgeous, grand Steinway piano compliments the stage and is available for playing during your rental.
Anthony Chapel typically books in 3-hour time slots from either morning from 10 AM until 1 PM, afternoon from 1:30 – 4:30 PM or evening from 5 – 8 PM. (During Holiday Lights from mid-November through December 31 each year, weddings must conclude at 3 PM and no receptions are held in the Gardens.) Three-hour rentals include a property manager, who will work with your wedding coordinator to make sure your special day goes smoothly; a sound tech, who will set up recorded music for the sound system or assist with musicians’, singers’ and officiant needs; and a security guard, who is stationed a few feet away from the building to maintain privacy during your ceremony.
Additionally, three properties comprise the Chapel Complex during the 3-hour rental. In addition to Anthony Chapel, the Chapel Complex includes the Millsap Bride’s Hall and Groom’s Quarters for the bridal party to gather prior to the ceremony. The Grooms Quarters is located northeast of the Chapel and just off the last bay of the main parking lot. The Brides Hall is located south of the Chapel and nearer to the Welcome Center, and also just off the main parking lot. The Bride’s Hall has parking for 2 vehicles and includes a large room with abundant lighting, mirrors and vanities. It also has a full-size catering kitchen.
A one-hour rehearsal, typically the day before the wedding, is also included this rental. for Saturday weddings, the rehearsals will be on Friday mornings. And, a photo pass into the Gardens for 5 people is included. This photo pass is generally used for a bridal session or engagement photos, and must be scheduled 30 days prior to the wedding date. Wedding guests for 3-hour rentals receive free entry into the Gardens on the day of the wedding.
The 3-hour rental prices vary, depending on the time and day of the week. They range from $3,500 to $5,000, plus a refundable $750 security deposit.
Wedding Coordinators are required for all weddings with 15 or more people (bride & groom, photographer, officiant included in count).
